Wordnerds (Nerds with Words Ltd) is certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022, the international standard for information security management, and holds Cyber Essentials Plus, the UK government-backed cyber security certification that includes independent technical testing. This page sets out what each certificate covers and links to the certificates themselves.
ISO/IEC 27001:2022
ISO/IEC 27001 is the international standard for an information security management system: the policies, risk assessments and controls an organisation uses to protect information, and the way it reviews and improves them. An independent certification body has audited our system against the 2022 edition of the standard and will reassess it every year the certificate runs.

Cyber Essentials Plus
Cyber Essentials is the UK government-backed scheme, overseen by the National Cyber Security Centre and delivered by IASME, that sets five technical controls against common internet-based attacks: firewalls, secure configuration, user access control, malware protection and security updates. It has two levels: the basic level is a self-assessment, and Cyber Essentials Plus, the level we hold, adds a hands-on technical audit of our systems by an independent assessor. The certificate confirms that our defences met the scheme’s requirements when they were tested, and it is renewed every year.
